Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how hvman handles information when you use the hvman iOS app. The publisher is Stephen M. Walker II. Questions about this policy can be sent through the Contact form.
Information Collection and Use
hvman accepts plain text that you choose to paste using the system's native paste controls. The app uses that text to provide its analysis and display the resulting verdicts and related analysis information to you.
hvman processes this text on your device using bundled model resources. The current app source has no developer account, server upload path, analytics SDK, CloudKit or iCloud entitlement, or network client for user text. hvman does not use pasted text to train a model, and it does not sell or share pasted text.
Clipboard Access
You can paste plain text into hvman through native system paste controls. hvman does not automatically read your clipboard for this use.
hvman also offers optional automatic clipboard previews. If you enable that feature, hvman reads the clipboard after you have enabled it so that it can show a preview. You can turn this feature off in the app at any time.
Local Storage
hvman stores its data locally on your device using SwiftData. This may include pasted text, verdict fields, timestamps, and serialized analysis snapshots. This local storage lets the app show your History and related results.
You can delete individual History entries from within the app. Deleting an entry removes the corresponding locally stored app record from the device. Deleting the app generally removes its locally stored data from that device, subject to the operating system's handling of app data and any backups.
Purchases and Third Parties
hvman offers a Full Access non-consumable purchase through the Apple App Store. Apple processes the purchase transaction under its own terms and privacy practices. hvman receives entitlement state needed to determine whether Full Access is available; it does not receive your payment card details.
Apple and your device settings may separately control device backups, App Store records, and related system services. This policy describes hvman's app processing and local storage; it does not change how Apple or other system services process information under their own policies and settings.
Retention and Deletion
Local app records are retained on your device until you delete the applicable History entry or remove the app, unless the operating system changes or preserves data through its own backup, restore, or storage-management behavior. You can manage backups through your Apple Account and device settings.
Because hvman currently has no server-side account or upload path for user text, there is no hvman server copy of pasted text for you to request us to delete.
Children's Privacy
hvman does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account, and it processes pasted text locally as described in this policy. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us through the Contact form.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as hvman changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective or last-updated date.
